Dam: Nora Interagro
Borodin’s dam, Nora Interagro [Xique Xique (CI) x Kipper (SA)], is
considered to be one of the top ten Interagro mares. Nora Interagro has an
Interagro progeny of eleven exceptional individuals, thus far, which
include: Valete Interagro and Xarik Interagro, both exported to the U.S.,
and Uluti Interagro, exported to Australia. Nora’s fertility and quality
is in great measure due to her dam, Kipper (SA), who has an Interagro
progeny of sixteen to-date, and she is still active! Two sons of Kipper,
the mare Radagast Interagro and the stallion Alter Interagro were exported
to the U.S., the latter sold in the 2009 Collection®. The crossing of the
Quina (CI) line with the Firme (SA)/Nilo (MV)/Novilheiro (MV) strain,
especially when the latter is introduced through the fantastic Danúbio II
(MV), is at the core of the development of the Interagro lineage. This
crossing continues to be our preferred genetic combination due to
numerable reasons: no risks, always rewarding and very predictable even
though the offspring often demand more time than the other lineages to
achieve maturity. Given our experience, however, we think the positives
far outweigh the price involved to take our time with the youngsters.
Borodin Interagro is an excellent example of this, and we strongly
recommend him as a stallion. We were reserving Borodin for a future
Collection, but were convinced by the trainer’s arguments to bring him to
this edition.

Trainer’s opinion:
This four-year-old stallion reminds us of an adolescent teen with natural
talent who needs time to grow into a top athlete. Already quite large,
Borodin Interagro requires patience and training to gain strength. We
almost didn’t bring Borodin Interagro with this Collection, but he
progressed more quickly these last few months. Though Borodin will need a
bit more time to mature than some of his Collection mates, he is clearly
changing each week. Possessing a gentle and kind character, he tries very
hard to please his rider. Fun to ride, this lovely horse is smooth and
becoming more balanced each day. Borodin brings a wonderful pedigree: his
mother, Nora Interagro, produced three lovely horses that have been
exported to the USA for competition. His father, Quixote Interagro,
possesses super conformation, beauty, magnificent gaits and a wonderful
temperament. With his elegant eye and thick mane and tail, Borodin
Interagro is a handsome prince ready to grow up into a powerful stallion.
