The Lusitano Collection
The Lusitano Collection
is a trademark established by the most important Lusitano horse breeders in Brazil. Their combined
experience represents more than 300 years of excellence in the
selection of the best animals and genealogies in the breed. They
have founded their work on an unrivalled pool of Lusitano horses
and many years of experience with the breed.
The 2011 Lusitano Collection International Horse Auction
event will once again be held at the 111-acre Jim Brandon
Equestrian Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, a well-known
equine hot spot that is home to many reputable stables and
arenas. The event will take place on February 23 26, 2011. Interested buyers will be able to preview the
horses available, test-ride them, and view their veterinarian
records, including the most recent x-rays and tests. At the end
of the horse tryouts, guests will enjoy a welcoming cocktail
reception leading up to the gala dinner and auction.
As the Lusitano horse finds
an increasing following in the modern day equestrian circles of
the United States, there is a growing demand for the breed among
those looking to acquire the best horses in the dressage,
jumping, eventing, driving and pleasure riding markets. Clients
of The Lusitano Collection International Horse Auction can be
certain that their horses come from the breeder - not an agent.
Every year The Lusitano Collection
features specially selected horses from a different breeder to
be auctioned at the exhibition. The 2010 auction highlights collections of Lusitanos from two of the most
important breeding farms in Brazil: Interagro Farms and
Coudelaria
Rocas do Vouga. Throughout the year, these horses have
been evaluated, tested and trained based on their ability to
fulfill FEI sport horse requirements.
The Lusitano Collection
made its debut in the United States in 2008 at a highly
successful auction during the period of Floridas world-renowned
Winter Equestrian Festival. It was the first time that such a
collection of Lusitanos had been sold on US soil and gave
clients the advantage of acquiring horses that cannot be found
elsewhere in the world without the necessity of importing them
either from Portugal or Brazil.
