Startling young black stallion with a very interesting pedigree from the
Firme (SA)/Nilo (MV)/Novilheiro (MV) lineage. His dam Barqueira (RC) is by
the famous Saloia II (MV) – a daughter of Novilheiro’s mother Guerrita
(MV) – with Nilo (MV) – see Stallion Gallery. From his father side, Trinco
(RC) is a grandson of Venturoso III (MV), whose dam, Oferta (MV) is also
the mother of Danúbio (MV) – see Stallion Gallery. Barqueira (RC) is a
very highly punctuated, Gold Medal mare with an outstanding offspring in
Portugal and Brazil. Trinco (RC) is a very special stallion; his
intelligence and trainability make him a star.
Trainers’ opinion: Trinco may not
be tall, but he has the heart of a giant! He has three correct gaits and a
very well balanced body. This horse will go into battle for the right
owner. His eye is bright and his is trying to learn what you are saying
all the time. This is the type of horse who loves dressage; he will love
to learn all the levels and will be bored if his life is not a challenge.
I feel confident that with the right training this horse has the capacity
to be a Grand Prix Dressage horse.
Trainer: Edmar Martins de Brito – (Edmar)
Trinco is a very special Stallion.
He may not be tall but his heart is the size of a giant! His intelligence
and trainability makes him a star! He loves to work and is quite an
athlete. He has three correct gaits and a very well balanced body. This
horse would go into battle for the right owner. His eye is bright and he
is trying to learn what you are saying all the time. This is the type of
horse who loves the process of Dressage because it makes since to him. He
will love to learn all the levels and will be bored if his life is not a
challenge. I feel confident with the right training this horse has the
capacity to be a Grand Prix Dressage horse. Trinco is forward thinking. He
will be a reflection of his rider and their training program. If he gets a
kind, intelligent owner he will be a star!
Challenges: He will need a program
that is interesting or he will become bored. He is very sensitive and will
always go better for the rider who is quiet and light with their aids. He
would be nervous with a harsh or nervous rider. He is sensitive to his
ears being touched.
Suitability: This horse can become
someone’s best friend. He would go well for a small quiet amateur that is
serious about their riding. He needs a program and a challenge. Because he
is so smart, his rider will need to be riding with goals and wanting to
train him. He will not be a happy horse for a weekend rider of someone who
want to have a beautiful horse to hack around a farm. He will be a
competitor. He will show off and want to be learning. We get a great
feeling about this horse that he will make the right person very happy!
