Dam: Lantejoula (JNU)
Alcazar’s Dam, Lantejoula (JNU), comes from the Coudelaria Núncio, founded
by João Núncio, a famous Portuguese bullfighter who rode and selected
horses for the Coudelaria Veiga (MV) according to their behavior and
performance in the arena. The Núncio mares are all from pure Veiga origin,
have an extremely high degree of consanguinity and are not available in
the market. Through a special concession from the Núncio family, Interagro
is the only breeder to obtain a group of these treasured mares. These
females are a valuable asset for any top level breeding program that can
use the proper stallions to fully match their extraordinary genetic power
and transmit it to their offspring. Interagro is very satisfied with the
results obtained with these crossings; good examples are Alcazar Interagro
and Berloque Interagro [Perdigueiro (Mac) x Rabina (JNU)], also offered at
this Collection. Lantejoula (JNU) so far has an Interagro progeny of seven,
including Ximenes Interagro, who sold in the 2009 Collection. Alcazar has
all that it takes to become a top stallion.

Trainer´s opinion:
Alcazar Interagro is a calm, intelligent and very sensible stallion. He
has a kind eye that makes you feel as though you are looking deeply into a
wise, old soul. From the moment, he was started under saddle, he has been
a pleasure to train. His compact body is very easy to keep organized and
collected, and he is super to take out on a hack. His lovely character
combined with his smooth gaits make him suitable for many riders. One of
Alcazar’s standout qualities is his trainability and focus that allows his
rider to take the quality of their work at home directly into the
competition ring. Alcazar Interagro has already proven his superior
temperament and character in the show arena with great results. In May,
2009, Alcazar Interagro won his first training level class with a 66+%
test score at the International Lusitano Show in Sao Paulo, Brazil. He
traveled easily, adapted well to his surroundings and behaved like a
seasoned show horse at the competition. His sheer confidence and great
nature make him a star while his lovely dark red-bay color and white sock
add to his charm. Except in color, Alcazar Interagro is very similar in
all other aspects to his full sibling, Ximenes Interagro, who sold in the
2006 Collection and is now a very successful amateur horse. Alcazar
Interagro, dependable and extremely easy to love, is sure to follow in his
sibling’s hoof prints! This personable, willing stallion is sure to make
someone very happy.
