Breeding & pedigree information:
His sire Oceano (MV), Manuel Veiga’s stallion, was National Champion in
Brazil and then re-exported to his breeder, where he was the house’s
main stallion and Mr. Veiga’s riding horse. Quebeleza HI, Capa’s dam, is
out of Leão on Harpa IV. This mare was the Champion of the Champions in
Lisbon. The perfect Lusitano type, Capa clearly embodies this
outstanding crossing of bloodlines.
Rocas do Vouga Dam’s progeny: 2004 – Atlântida do Vouga by Oceano
(MV) – Sold at The 2008 Lusitano Collection
Trainer’s opinion: Capa do Vouga is an extremely well developed horse. He is certainly
one of the fullest bodied four-year-olds I’ve ever ridden. This stallion
is a pleasure to ride, very typical of the Lusitano breed, and with very
good temperament. He learns very quickly, has good movements, and shows
that he has a successful future for both competitions and breeding.
