Interagro Lusitanos

Founded in Itapira, Brazil in 1975 by Paulo Gavião Gonzaga, Interagro is the largest breeder and exporter of Lusitano horses in the world. Interagro’s first successful project was to recuperate all the basic Lusitano lineages, which were, some of them, in danger of extinction after the Portuguese Revolution of 1974. Concomitantly, the Interagro bloodline was built out of the precious genetic material initially acquired. Interagro horses have won all the Brazilian championships and titles and today Interagro has horses of its breeding competing in four continents. Interagro breeds horses especially selected for the most important sport disciplines, particularly for dressage and driving.
